“Ryan was able to capture me in my element dancing in a way I’ve never experienced. As a queer, gender nonconforming dancer in a larger body, photoshoots have always made me anxious, but Ryan captured me as my truest self and was sensitive to potential insecurities and dysphoria. As opposed to a traditional posed dance shoot, he just photographed me as I was dancing, and was able to capture energy and emotion in a really beautiful way.”
